October 4th, 2021: It has been quite the busy few months here since we’ve reopened and we’re taking everything in strides. New mask mandates and county guidelines to adjust to, vaccination requirements or proof of a negative Covid-19 test to enjoy indoor facilities. We are doing everything we can to keep Pacheco Community Center open and running and available to the public to the best of our abilities.
We had a number of events over the summer and have more scheduled going into fall. We want to thank everyone who has chosen our facility to host your events because your patronage keeps us up and running! We have been so happy to have you back and serve you!
We also want to thank everyone who has either renewed their memberships or joined the Pacheco Town Council since our first Newsletter (since reopening) went out last month. We put the call out to our community to join and so far many have gotten back to us. Membership dues help us store funds for community things like holiday parties, college scholarship giveaways and our annual Turkey Meal giveaway that provides meals for those who can use them. Town Council Membership’s also help the Board of Directors and current Council Seats better engage and serve the community by giving us more feedback and hands on deck when it comes to community collaboration.
We have also had a few donations come to us and we want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH! Reopening has been a financial back and forth after more than a year of being closed and we are so appreciative of community members being so selflessly generous.
We also would like to welcome New You Dance Academy to Pacheco Community Center and invite anyone interested in dance classes to look them up! Current classes are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons/ early evenings every week, please look at our calendar for the times and schedule. They started their classes as the beginning of September and we hope they are with us as long as possible!
Currently, Martinez Swingers Square Dance are on a break from dancing. Please call them directly if you’re looking for more information. We hope to welcome them back soon.
If interested, call or email the office to get our Newsletter sent to you. We also have hard copies at the Community Center so if you stop by you are welcome to pick one or a few up. We have some outside our front door as well as some inside if you stop by during business hours.
Happy Fall and thank you again for your support! We are happy to serve you!
May 17th, 2021: We are excited to announce that Pacheco Community Center has begun the process of reopening our doors to the public. We have missed serving and celebrating with you! We are now scheduling events past June 1, 2021, and already our summer weekends are booking up fast so please call or email the office if you’re interested in our facility!
There have been some changes made regarding capacity, rates and hours so please look at our Rental Information page or email the office and we can send you our updated Rules and Regulations and a copy of our Rental Contract with all of our current rates. We appreciate your understanding when it comes to the new rules and guidelines we’ve adopted at our center.
We are also exited to announce that the Martinez Swingers will hopefully be returning come July to our facility for their usual Tuesday and Wednesday night workshops. Please contact them for more information and to see what their plans are.
We are happy to be able to serve you again!
March 2020: Pacheco Community Center is closed until further notice to adhere to the shelter in place and social distancing orders put in place by the county. Thank you for your understanding and we hope to be back open to the public soon. Stay healthy and safe!
August 2019: Thank you to everyone who stopped by for PCC first annual National Night Out! Thank you to the College Park cheer squad for donating their time and working the booths at the event, as well as the community organizations who stopped by to visit with us. We also installed our new Free Little Library outside the community center. Please stop by!
January 2019: We would like to thank those who volunteered at our December holiday party last month and to our community members who stopped by to spend time with us and take pictures with Santa! We are happy and fortunate to but able to serve and put on events like this for our community!
November 2018: Once again PCC donated holiday meals to our community members in need of a little extra love and support this past Thanksgiving. Thank you to those for the turkey donations and the time and effort put in by Town Council members for putting together the holiday baskets.
October 2018: Thank you to everyone who made it to the Spaghetti Dinner at the beginning of the month. It is always good to come together with our community to meet and learn about and from one another. All Pacheco Town Council members are invited to the free dinner put on by the hall. Thank you also to all volunteers who helped and continue to help make things like this possible in our town!
September 2018: Thank you to all community members and friends who made it out to the Community Clean-up Day located here at the center! With your help Grayson Creek and the surrounding area were refreshed and left looking spotless for the wildlife and us alike. We are happy to and appreciate being able to have the facility available for causes like this. Thank you very much also to all volunteers working throughout the creek clean-up and those working the trash and recycling drop-off. Your support always helps!
August 2018: Thank you to everyone who stopped by on the 25th for the impromptu Flea Market! It was a nice addition to a morning walk or coffee run to browse all the treasures and collectables looking for a new home. Spaces can always be rented at the Community Center if you are interested in selling at the Flea Market. If you are interested in any future community flea markets please call the office to leave your information–we will be sure to reach out to you when planning the next event.
June 2016: Congratulations to our 2016 Scholarship Winner Dannie Kiel!
